About the piece:

The collection of photos is the natural continuation of last year’s Halloween essay. Last year, the photos were inspired by “Creepypasta” legends and old horror movies. This year, the photos continue the harrowing ambiance but in the Washington, D.C. area. Inspired by the “Slasher” films, modern horror movies and the “Backrooms,” these photos represent a mix of unsettlement and abandonment. One, in particular, portrays the beauty of Halloween and the fall season as a whole. Take a guess on which one it is.
