Volunteers from Starbucks Workers United gathered on Sept. 14 outside of the Starbucks on New Mexico Avenue to demonstrate against the company’s anti-union policies. The organizers explained their platform to passersby and collected petition signatures. On their website, the group describes Starbucks as “one of the worst labor law violators in modern U.S. history.”
