A message from the photographer:

Last month, the cherry blossoms of DC were in peak bloom. Despite frequent showers and hectic traffic, many came down to the Tidal Basin to take photos with their loved ones and admire the flowers. This photo essay is a snapshot of those flowering trees at late afternoon.
While the spring semester has certainly been difficult, hopefully these photos can bring some peace of mind to those who were too busy to go in person.
